Yes, Thor had flown over and checked everything out…he probably didn’t trigger a reaction because he had no intention of interacting with the nexus. Still, if we could figure out a method of accessing the nexus at a range we might be able to stay out of Sallis—Man-Thing’s reach. *thinks about that for a second and then quickly adds* Of course Fury would end up within range when he emerged so we’d have to figure out a quick pick up and evade any direct confrontation.
*rubs the back of his neck* The facility where Project: Gladiator was being conducted was down there. Proximity to it, I guess? I have no idea how the nexus actually works at this point but perhaps it has…self preservation instincts and wanted a—a living guard. He was there, he was powerful so it latched onto him.
*suddenly his head snaps up.*
Aaaah, idea, idea!
Okay, now. *puts his hands out to stabilize himself.* Alright now, this is gonna sound crazy. But you know how Thor needs that bifrost thing in order to go home? It acts sort of like a teleporter, right? That’s being worked on, right? I mean, that was being worked on even before Fury disappeared?
Well, I mean, what if- If we get that working and then, as soon as Fury pops out of the nexus, we use that to beam him away like on Star Trek or something and, okay, maybe it would be easier to just build a teleporter and even that sounds ridiculously complicated because there are a whole bunch of scientific laws to take into account but this group has done the impossible before but that’s besides the point because the bifrost would be a two-birds-with-one-stone sort of deal and- oh god I’ll shut up now, I’m just rambling, *throws hands in the air.* this is all crazy, I’m sorry!
*half smiles, shrugs and makes a swooping motion with his hands* I was thinking more along the lines of having Tony fly in fast and pick up Fury and get out before Sallis could reach him.
From what I know, the bifrost was broken around the time Thor first appeared, and from a place where we are unable to be of any help with it. We’re essentially cut off from it and even knowing how far along they are in repairing it. Sorry, Peter.
Oh.

Yeah, that could work, too.

*laughs* Strange is accurate. It’s shocking but…it’s nice to have one strange thing turn out to be the good kind. Anyway...
